Parking in the Neighborhood
Parking is governed by San Diego Municipal Code. On occasion, cars have been known to be left in the neighborhood at the same curbside spot for many consecutive days. Code requires that vehicles be moved at least 1/2 mile every 72 hours (Code change 10/19/2023) to prevent a violation since many vehicles left over 72 hours on the street may be abandoned or stolen.
Any resident can make a report to authorities. Your association does not enforce municipal parking regulations but will consider reporting a vehicle to the city if a homeowner makes a request. Please do your best to keep your parked vehicles within the constraints imposed by the city. It is best to park vehicles in a driveway if going on a prolonged trip.
Lastly, be cautious when reporting vehicles to the city. Survey your neighbors to identify owners and consider placing this Parking Notice form on a vehicle to let the owner know his or her car may be in violation of city ordnance.
